Fing is an android application which lets you find out which devices are connected to your WiFi connection. This app is really easy to use. This app will list down all the devices which are connected to your WiFi and using it.

So, download the Fing app and install it in your smartphone or you can find the application in the play store directly from your mobile phone.

Now open the app and it will automatically show you the devices along with their MAC address and type of the device on the main page of the application.

Just thoroughly check the devices if there is some unknown device then write down its MAC address. You can click on a specific device and get some extra information about it such as IP address, First seen, trace route, etc.

Using your router

Here is the second method for detecting the unwanted devices which are making your internet connection slow. In this method, first you can check if your WiFi connection is being used by some other devices other than your. Change the configuration setting of your WiFi router

Even if you blocked the unwanted devices but still there is need to change the router’s configuration setting tighten the security of your WiFi network. It will prevent other people from using your WiFi without your knowledge.

Firstly, if you have never changed the router’s admin username and password then change it as soon as possible. The reason is that the default username and password of almost every router is usually same i.e. admin. So, anyone can get access to your router’s configuration and make changes to it which may lead to slow performance of your internet connection.
