Oct 14, 2014  I have recently purchased the Silvercrest USB Video Grabber from Lidl for the purpose of transferring VHS home movies (when video cameras used full-sized VHS cassettes!) to dvd. Gave it another tap and back to mono. Accidentally knocked the camcorder and the AVS screen went from monochrome to colour! There’s sivlercrest micro USB on the end of the phono leads that plugs into the dongle then a full size USB the other end of usb video grabber silvercrest dongle. Then, on screen it eventually changes back to colour. So, dug out the old 8mm tapes – some about 20 ubs old. There’s some horizontal lines too on the old tape.
